His symphonic repertoire ranges from the Classical period to contemporary music, with a particular fondness for Russian symphonic music \u2013 especially Shostakovich \u2013 and for the Italian symphonic tradition spanning the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Of the latter, he has conducted the complete \u2018Roman Trilogy\u2019, *Belkis, Queen of Sheba*, Respighi\u2019s *Botticelli-inspired Triptych* and *Suite for Strings*, Malipiero\u2019s *Symphony of the Sea*, *Notturno*, \u2018Novelletta\u2019 and \u2018Giga\u2019 by Martucci, as well as Ponchielli\u2019s \u2018Elegia\u2019. He has also recorded an album dedicated to Puccini\u2019s symphonic works. His symphonic repertoire also includes several milestones in orchestral literature, amongst which the complete cycle of Beethoven\u2019s symphonies, Mozart\u2019s late symphonies, Tchaikovsky\u2019s Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Symphonies, right through to Strauss and Schoenberg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
