Beatrice Venezi – Reviews

The persistence of a “far-fetched idea”

(3 May 2025) Review by Claudio Ratier.

That the “guide” from the podium of a Trittico whose scenic conception is based on the Divine Comedy be called Beatrice is a kind of nod, one that no one calculated in advance but that cannot be more precise; what’s more, her appearance in the final greetings is worthy of a description from La vita nuova. Beatrice Venezi directed with balance and achieved a nuanced sound with success; she made the soloists feel comfortable and exploited the moments of tension proposed by the score, as well as she was able to deploy the required power in the climactic moments, thanks to an orchestra that has accustomed us to a very high level. She proved to be a very good conductor who promises even more talent.
