Beatrice Venezi began learning the piano at the age of seven and, at just eight, was admitted to the “L. Boccherini” Conservatoire in her hometown of Lucca; she went on to complete her studies with a diploma from the “R. Franci” Conservatoire in Siena, under the guidance of Norberto Capelli.
He studied composition with Gaetano Giani Luporini and orchestral conducting with Piero Bellugi, then with Gianluigi Gelmetti at the Accademia Chigiana in Siena, and obtained his Level II Academic Diploma from the “G. Verdi” Conservatoire of Music in Milan, with top marks and honours.
He began working as an assistant conductor and, in 2016, following his participation in the Aram Khachaturian Conducting Competition in Yerevan, he became the Assistant Conductor of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.
At present Principal Guest Conductor at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, held the position of Principal Guest Conductor of the Orchestra della Toscana,Principal Guest Conductor at the Puccini Festival in Torre del Lago e Artistic Director of the Taormina Arte Foundation at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina; she was also a member of the Women’s Advisory Council of the Pontifical Council for Culture from 2019 to 2022 and an adviser on music to the Minister for Culture of the Italian Republic from 2022 to 2024.
He has worked alongside internationally renowned performers such as Plácido Domingo, Ramón Vargas, Vittorio Grigolo, Marcelo Álvarez, Giorgio Surian, Maria José Siri, Kristine Opolais, Aida Garifullina, Bruno Canino, Stefan Milenkovich, Giuseppe Gibboni, Valentina Lisitsa, Andrea Griminelli, Eleonora Abbagnato, Carla Fracci, Marianela Núñez and Andrea Bocelli.
He has collaborated with prestigious institutions, including the New Japan Philharmonic, the National Theatre of Korea, the Sofia Philharmonic, the Nagoya Philharmonic, the Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, Opera Holland Park in London, the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Foundation, the Arena di Verona Foundation, the Opéra de Nice, the Opéra Grand Avignon, the Opéra-Théâtre de Metz Métropole, the Haydn Orchestra, the I Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra, the Teatro Lirico di Cagliari, Teatro Bellini in Catania, the Symphony Orchestra of the National Television and Radio Company of Belarus, the State Orchestra of Armenia, the Georgian Philharmonic, the Georgian National Opera Theatre, the National Opera House of Azerbaijan, the Ivan Zajc National Theatre in Rijeka, the Sofia National Opera and Ballet, in over four hundred symphonic concerts and opera performances.
Alongside his professional work, he is actively involved in public engagement, collaborating with renowned institutions such as the University of Vienna, Bocconi University in Milan, the Milan Polytechnic, IULM, Polimoda in Florence, the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Rome, the Università Federico II in Naples, and the Università Cattolica di Milano, for which he performed the concert marking the opening of the academic year in its centenary year (2021), LUISS, for which he delivered a keynote lecture to mark the thirtieth anniversary of Guido Carli’s death, and the University of Sassari, for which he delivered the keynote lecture for the opening of the 2018/19 academic year.
For the publishing house UTET, she has published *Allegro con fuoco* and *Le sorelle di Mozart*, which was translated into French by Payot et Rivages under the title *Fortissima* and into Spanish by MRA Ediciones under the title *Las hermanas de Mozart*, *L’ora di musica* and *Puccini contro tutti*; for DeAgostini Scuola, he edited the music education textbook for lower secondary schools, *Armonie*. In 2022, he also published the essay *Ciclicità, staticità e atemporalità – The Wanderer’s Journey through Schubert’s Aesthetics“ in *Verbum Caro*, a collection dedicated to the 80th birthday of His Eminence Cardinal Ravasi – Edizioni San Paolo.
She has released the albums “My Journey” and “Heroines” on Warner Music Italy.
The Corriere della Sera It names her amongst the 100 Women of the Year for 2016 and the 50 Women of the Year for 2017 who, across the globe, have distinguished themselves through their professionalism and have been revolutionary, resilient, non-conformist, pioneering, and champions of femininity, creativity and innovative solutions. Again in 2017, she was also named amongst the outstanding figures selected by Vanity Fair for the “Excellence” special collection. In 2018 Forbes it lists her among the 100 young leaders of the future aged under 30 and Fortune among the ‘40 under 40’ lists for 2023 and 2024.
